Version 2.9 may solve the problem where people get stuct at "Logging In"?
By using this software, you can certify that 1) you are playing on a clean system without any of the known hacks or cheats, and 2) that you are in fact who you say you are.
We Have a variety of hacks catalogued including wire-frame, dev cams, third-person-views, aim-bots, and speed hacks. In addition, it verifies that the map you are playing has not been altered in any way.
There are probably more hacks, so pm Cappo if you can run one undetected. The logs allow us to see everybody who used a new hack before reported, so don't think just cause you ran it and didn't get caught, that you are in the clear!
You will need a forum account, and an adopted Halo player tag in order to certify you system.
If you find any problems or missed hacks, please let us know.
Instructions
- Download the program
You can save this anywhere on your computer, it does not matter where. You have to be logged into the forums and have an adopted player name in order to certify being hack-free!
- Run it on your computer
Run it by double-clicking on the program. This will take you to the installation success page. This is the last time you will run it directly unless you move it to another location on your disk. From now on you will run it by clicking on the rocket launcher icon next to players and servers.
- Find a server by clicking on the rocket icon.
You can do this by going to the active server page, or find a player who is currently online. Anytime you see the rocket icon show below, or a link that looks like: halo://198.65.167.3:2305, you can click on it and the launcher will popup automatically. Clans can also put links like this on their web-sites so you can connect to their servers directly.
- When you click on the rocket icon, the launcher window will appear.
The first time you run it, the status field will say Not Certified. In order to certify, you will need to enter a valid HaloStats forum login and password. If you want to just use it as a launcher, without certification, just press Connect.
- Enter your forum login/password in to certify.
Click on the settings button and enter your username, and password. You will need a HaloStats forum account in order to login. If you have special characters in your name, specifically < or >, you may have problems. If you can't get the buster to login, then first verify you can log out/in to the forums.
- Click OK when you are done.
You can also modify your halo startup options and the path to your halo programs. Leave the halo profile fields blank unless you want to specify different default profiles for different weapon types. Note that -screenshot gets ignored, and will not be passed to Halo at startup.
- Your status should switch to Scanning.., then Certified.
It can take a couple of minutes or more to certify the first time, just be patient as it scans your system memory, then the status will change. The information is cached so that the next time you start it, the scan will be much faster. It can take as long as 1-2 minutes on a 2.5 GHZ system with lots of memory.
- Connect to your server.
The launcher will minimize and run in the background while you play the game. It will keep scanning memory, and reporting a heartbeat to our server. The status of your certification will be shown on the game history and recent certs pages.
If the server is full, the launcher will retry the server every few seconds and won't launch halo until there is an open spot. If there is a password, a window will popup asking you for the server password before you connect.
- Next time you want to play a game.
Just go to halostats.com, and find a server to click on. The program will have your last forum username and password, and so all you will need to do is press Connect.
Users typically bookmark their clan pages, or what I do is search for players by clan tags, and then click next to their name to join the server they are on. Even when playing in a match, ill just find the player on halostats instead of typing in a direct ip.
