Halo League OrganizationThe site is overseen by the executive council. The executive council is also responsbile for appointing members to the league councils. League council members provide oversight to the different divisions within the league.
League Council Charter
League councils may have as many as a dozen or more members.
There will be a league council for each of the major weapon types.
Members to a league council can only be appointed by the executive council.
Executive council members may temporarily fill league council seats.
No two members of a league council can be from the same clan.
Penalties can be assessed by two or more council members.
More severe penalties will require more than 2 members.
Clan leaders are the preferred council candidates.
Regular Weapons Council
Each clan that maintains a top 10 position on HaloStats or any other ladder earns a seat on the regular weapons council. The number of seats is currently capped at 20 members.
If a clan does not have a top 10 rank for 2 months in a row, their seat may be vacated for another clan. Any council seat can be vacated by a 3/4 vote of the other council members. There will be potentially one person appointed by the executive council for every 5 clans that are added.
Heavy Weapons Council
Any heavy weapons clan that has been established for 90 days or longer, or has 20 or more members earns one seat on the heavy weapons council. Because of the small number of clans, the seat is considered permanent at this time.
League Council Duties
- Moderating the league specific forums.
- Assessing penalties to clans and players.
- Arbitration of league match disputes.
